Rasheed speaks to award-winning entrepreneur and business mentor, Rachel Elnaugh
What’s your relationship with money like? Do you love it, hanker after it or do you have a dislike to it and even feel it’s ‘the root of all evil’?
It’s sometimes worth remembering that money in itself is an inanimate object that is simply a form of exchange. But it’s our relationship and actions with it individually, ideologically, collectively, emotional and economically and as a society that creates all sorts of issues.
Mindful of this – and that so many good-hearted sole traders, small business owners, healers, creatives and others really with money – last year I decided to record a special live web interview on the topic.
Once I decided to cover the topic I knew would be the ideal guest: Rachel Elnaugh. Rachel, the original founder of the life experience gifts company Red Letter Days and appeared on series 1 & 2 of Dragon’s Den on the BBC in the UK has built a multi-million pound business and lost almost everything as she shared in her book Business Nightmares.
What’s more I knew that Rachel would make an ideal guest because she was herself on a journey of self-discovery that had let her to change business direction. I had originally met Rachel when she was doing some business mentoring at the British Library – and there’s a little more about our conversation in the book Soul Trader itself.
This very special live chat interview was originally aired live last year as on www.EvolvedHeart.com the special self development website that I developed with online, marketing and charity specialist Tum Kazunga which is also well worth a visit.
Anyway I highly recommend watching this talk that I found fascinating, enjoyable, insightful and useful. Rachel’s observations money and energy are among the most insightful I’ve heard and entrepreneur share.
